This is How it Goes

I have been happily married for the past thirteen years. I left my job as a nurse in a doctor's office when my son was born in 2000. His little sister came along in the Fall of 2003 and the two keep me very busy.

Briefly

Nobody is sick. I have made it in two weeks in a row for a full week of work. Eddie has just had 7 days off from work, and we got caught up on lots of household stuff. Last night we even went out ALONE while MIL watched the kids and ate at the best Italian place ever. I had Mediterranean Pomodoro with shrimp and lobster. There was only one hitch to the meal. I ordered a Bellini, a sweet, peachy drink that comes in a sugar-rimmed glass. When it came to my table I took a long-awaited sip and it was... salty! I asked for a new one and again, salty! The waitress seemed puzzled, since she'd given me a new glass and all. I couldn't help thinking, "why don't you taste it yourself. Something is wrong with the drink not the glass."

About 30 mins later she revealed that the person who made the mix that day had indeed, used salt instead of sugar. The waitress finally stopped looking at me like I was crazy.

Night Owl Current mood: awake
One would think as a 35-year-old woman, I would know when to go to bed. Yet every night I stay up till 11:30 or 12, and then hit the snooze 3 or 4 times when the alarm goes off at 6:15 a.m. It is 11:34 pm now and I am going to have serious regrets in the morning.

Today... Current mood: giddy
nobody is coughing, vomiting, explosive pooping, or feverish. But it is nearly midnight and I hear the girl making some unhappy noises in there.

That's it... ship me off the the looney bin
After being well for two days, Daughter woke feverish during the night. She is currently nauseated and clutching "the bucket." Hope I can get her in at the doc's today. This has gone long enough.
